As a team we have been prepping more intensely the past few months for our move to Scotland and the setting up of a missions base there, while still visiting the pastors and churches in the other nations. The exciting thing is that Rick and Kim landed in Scotland the 15 of September! Jackie and Joey just finished teaching a 6 week OneLife missions class in Texas, and will meet up with Rick and Kim this month.

The Lord is Great!
Things are happening so quickly in Scotland that we can’t keep up with the updates. Within these first few weeks the Lord has opened the doors and provided both temporary housing and a long term rental which is not easy to get. The second day here we went in to the offices of one of the largest real estate agencies in this area and were told that the applicants were over 100 for most properties. There is quite a vetting process here and we did not have any UK credit history. We knew that the Lord called us here so we applied to several homes/flats. In the meantime, a Christian brother whom we had never met before offered his vacation caravan to us while we waited. Against all human odds we were contacted within the first week and approved the next and have already moved in! In addition, in these first few weeks the Lord has provided a vehicle through an anonymous sponsor. PTL! We will continue to pursue buying a vehicle that can carry more passengers in the future.

—The upcoming Crusade in Peru at the end of October. Over 25,000 are expected. Rick will be traveling for about two weeks.
—Two conferences here in Scotland in November.
—The youth of Scotland. Many are willing to engage in conversation and share their perspectives. It’s clear that they are hungry for the gospel. More on that soon.
